This policy describes the way we collect, store, use, and protect your personal information. You accept this policy when you access our website. The Board may amend this policy at any time by posting a revised version on our website. The revised version will be effective at the time it is posted on the website. At the time the revision is posted, an announcement will also be posted on the home page of the website and we will send an emailed notice (if we have your email address).
How We Collect Information About You
When you visit the website, we collect your IP address and standard web log information, such as your browser type and the pages you accessed on our website. This is inherent in the operation of the web page server and allows you to receive the pages back on your web browser.
We collect the following types of information: your name, address, phone, email, and other similar information. Furnishing this information is at your option. If you do not furnish some or all of the information, some aspects of the website may be unavailable. In particular, if you do not furnish a valid email address, you will not receive periodic general announcements through the website and will not be able to utilize the email facilities to contact the board and committee members.
We do not collect any financial information of any sort on this website.
How We Protect and Store Personal Information
All personal information is accessible only to registered members of the Vickery Lake HOA that have logged into the website. The information is not available on any public page of our website. The website user must be logged in to access personal information.
We store and process your personal information on the computers belonging to our web hosting service. The personal information is only displayed on certain pages of our website. Names of Board and Committee members are displayed on the pages describing those activities. Resident information is displayed in various places on our site, such as on the Resident's Directory page, event descriptions posted on our calendar, in our newsletters, etc. The Board has adopted a policy that ALL adult residents’ names and addresses will be included in the directory and would like home phone numbers, email addresses and emergency contact information to also be included. You have the option to also include Information about adult children over the age of 18 if you wish. You control what other information is displayed on the Resident's Directory page through the “Update Your Directory Profile” process. You may display as much or as little of the personal information as you desire.
How We Use the Personal Information We Collect
The purpose for collecting your personal information is to facilitate the preparation and administration of the Resident's Directory and the list of Board and Committee members. We may also share the information with the Management Company under contract to the Vickery Lake HOA for specific purposes authorized by the Board of Directors, such as sending important notices to all residents.
We make a downloadable file available on the Directory page that contains all of the member information contained in the online directory that the respective residents have chosen to display in the online directory. While our Terms of Service prohibit sharing of this information outside the Vickery Lake community, there can be no guarantee of compliance.
We do not sell, rent or provide your personal information to any other party.
