This "Terms of Service" Document specifically relates to the Vickery Lake Homeowners Association (Vickery Lake HOA) website (www.vickerylakehoa.org). It does not apply to any other website including the website maintained by the Management Company under contract to support the Vickery Lake HOA.

Statement of Rights and Responsibilities

This Terms of Service governs the usage of the Vickery Lake HOA website by the users (residents of the Vickery Lake Community). The website is only available to residents of the Vickery Lake community. By using or accessing this website, you agree to these terms. Violation of these Terms of Service could result in you being excluded from access to the website.

Privacy

Please review the Privacy Policy (here) for this website. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle your personal information.

Sharing Your Content and Information

Anything you post to the website is publicly available to logged-in users and is automatically available to all residents of the community.

Safety

We do our best to keep the website safe and private, but we cannot guarantee it.  We need your help to do that, which includes the following commitments:

  1. You will not send or otherwise post commercial communications (such as spam).
  2. You will not collect users' content or information, or otherwise access the website, using automated means (such as harvesting bots, robots, spiders, or scrapers).
  3. You will not engage in unlawful multi-level marketing, such as a pyramid scheme, on the website.
  4. You will not upload viruses or other malicious code.
  5. You will not solicit login information or access an account belonging to someone else.
  6. You will not bully, intimidate, or harass any user.
  7. You will not post content that: is hateful, threatening, or pornographic; incites violence; or contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence.
  8. You will not use the website to do anything unlawful, misleading, malicious, or discriminatory.
  9. You will not do anything that could disable, overburden, or impair the proper working of the website, such as a denial of service attack.

Registration and Account Security

The website contains real names and information that we, the residents, want to keep closely held, and we need your help to keep it that way.

  1. You will keep your contact information accurate and up-to-date.
  2. You will not share your password, let anyone else access your account, or do anything else that might jeopardize the security of your account.
  3. You will not share the Resident's Directory outside the Vickery Lake Community.

Protecting Other People's Rights

We respect other people's rights, and expect you to do the same.

  1. You will not post any copyrighted content on the website unless you own or have rights to the copyright.
  2. You will not post content or take any action on the website that infringes or violates someone else's rights or otherwise violates the law.
  3. We can remove any content or information you post on the website if we believe that it violates this Statement.
  4. You will not provide the Resident's Directory to anyone outside the Vickery Lake Community.

Posting Events and Announcements

Events and Announcements posted on this website will be limited to events within the community and for all residents of the community.  Events and Announcements for events outside the community require prior approval by the Board of Directors or their designated person(s).  Only non-commercial events are allowed to be posted.

About Advertisements and Other Commercial Content

This website contains a Directory of Resident’s Businesses.  A resident can choose to list their business in that directory which is accessible only by logged on residents.  The business directory can be used for any business you own, operate, or are associated with.  The description should be brief (there are limits built in) and must include a way to contact your business.  See the Guidelines for Business Information for the information to include in your listing.

Changes:

The Board of Directors can change this Terms of Service document at any time.  If it is changed, you will be notified by an announcement on the website home page and by an emailed notice (if we have your email address).
